WHAT ARE THE PERSONAL SKILLS YOU NEED...
If you want to be effective in executing any of the changes we have talked about until now, you need to consider your own skills and where you will need to improve on a personal level
We have covered a lot of ground covering how you ensure you understand your business and its purpose, how you pick an effective pathway to achieving it and how you ensure your organization has the right people with the rights attitudes. How do you ensure that you have the right skills to implement any of the changes you have identified?

We will start with thinking about what doesn't work. A quick search of the internet or the management shelf of your local bookstore will give you an overwhelming selection to choose from - 'These core skills are essential to every leader' or 'The 8 key skills you should develop'. Unfortunately, despite the volume of information available, many of these programs fail to develop effective leaders. We will look at some of the key considerations to avoid heading down the wrong path.

We will create a list of what we think are the key skills that you should develop and then how to best grow in each of these skills

In this section we will also be providing reviews and recommendations of books and websites that we have found helpful; we will be expanding this to include other tools that we have found particularly useful, from note-taking apps, project management and meeting software to hardware like laptops, phones and presentation tools.
